Deciding to take a new step can be intimidating but also rewarding. Recent ¸£Àû¼§ graduate, Nour Almasri (‘25), didn’t find the prospect intimidating and decided to take her academic journey into her own hands.
In the Department of Media and Communication at ¸£Àû¼§, you will learn to craft stories that inform, engage, and drive change. Nearly two decades after graduating from ¸£Àû¼§, Dan Landson and Erin Barnard McCann have found purpose and pride in their work at Southwest Airlines. As communications professionals, they craft stories that celebrate connection, kindness, and the power of authentic storytelling—showing how Bearkats continue to soar far beyond campus.
Mass Communication faculty members, Dr. Judy Clemens-Smucker and Jake Portie collaborated with Elizabeth Hartsell in the College of Criminal Justice to research how student's perception of careers is shaped by their portrayal in media.
