​​This nationally accredited program is designed for English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) professionals who teach at a variety of levels—from the young child through the adult learner. Learn to conduct research and engage in linguistic foundations to develop a pedagogy of diverse curriculum.​

​​Examine, Evaluate, Enact​
Candidates will learn to examine the linguistic, sociocultural, cognitive, and psychological foundations of language and literacy. As part of the curriculum, they will successfully evaluate assessments, formal and informal, for English language learners. They also reflect on personal beliefs and conduct a systematic inquiry into diverse cultures to develop a pedagogy that includes a representative and relatable curriculum.

Build and utilize research to successfully articulate theories and practices of language acquisition and language literacy acquisition for learners of all levels.
