Continue Your Educational Journey

Once you choose the graduate program that's right for you, follow the steps below to begin an exciting new chapter:

  • Complete the admissions application for Spring 2027 on
  • Summer or Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, complete the application on .
  • Pay the $50 ($90 for international students) application fee.
  • The minimum requirement for admission to any graduate program is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution, or an equivalent credential from a foreign institution, completed prior to the admission term. Some programs may have specific admission requirements and deadlines (refer to academic information pages for more details)

  • Graduate applications are evaluated holistically based on program requirements. Candidates must meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 although many programs require at least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.

International applicants are required to submit additional materials. Learn more here.

¸£Àû¼§ allows you to upload copies of transcripts while applying.

Official Baccalaureate degree conferral transcripts(s) will be required to remove a transcript hold on your account. Uploaded copies of transcripts are not official:

  • Transcripts can be sent electronically to graduate@shsu.edu (Code: 003606). ¸£Àû¼§ students do not need to submit official ¸£Àû¼§ transcripts.
