Probation & Suspension

From enrollment to graduation, we are here for your entire journey at ¸£Àû¼§.

Students placed on probation

If you were placed on academic probation or continued probation at the end of a semester, you are required to be advised/re-advised before you will be allowed to register/re-register.

If you fail to meet with an advisor, you will have your schedule dropped as follows:

Spring 2026 schedules: will be dropped on January 9th, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

If you were placed on probation, you will not be able to process schedule changes until a "Probation Advisement Hold" has been removed by an advisor.

To receive probation advising, contact the Student Advising & Mentoring Center (SAM Center) at 936.294.4444 or samcenter@shsu.edu. Alternatively, you can reach out to your advisor directly.
