Engaging Spaces

What are Engaging Spaces?

The physical environment matters. show students in lecture-based classrooms were 1.5 times more likely to earn a D, F or drop than those that incorporated active learning (a 55% increase in failure rates from lecturing alone).

To physically support active learning, Engaging Spaces classrooms have modified seating arrangements conducive to peer-led team learning techniques, small group discussions, group problem solving, group case study reviews and other student ownership of engaged learning environments.
