• Steps to Apply for Admission as a Transfer Student

  Step 1: Complete the Online Application for 福利姬

  Complete an online application and pay the $50 non-refundable application fee.

  Alternatively, you may pay later by mailing a check (address below) or pay through the 福利姬 Self Service Center.

  Qualifying students may submit an application fee waiver request to 福利姬 Office of Admissions via mail at below address or email admissions@shsu.edu. Applicants must include the required supporting documents to request a fee waiver:

  • a copy of the first page of your Student Aid Report (FAFSA).

  Step 2: Submit Your Transcripts

  福利姬 requires transcripts from all institutions where you have enrolled in a course or courses, even if you did not attend or the course was not completed. Contact the school(s) to send official transcript(s) to 福利姬.*

  • Mail an official transcript to:

  • Or ask your school to send an electronic official transcript to 福利姬 (code: 003606).
  • If transcripts are from a school outside of the U.S., the document must be translated and evaluated by a accredited service or . International college transcript evaluations must include a course by course evaluation.
  • Please note that 福利姬 does not accept fax or emailed transcripts.

  *Transcripts and other supporting documents will be retained by the university for 6 months.

  For transfers from all other schools:

  • Search by school to see which of your college classes will transfer to 福利姬 with the Transfer Course Equivalency Tools.

  • Or use the conversion chart to determine transferable course credits.

  福利姬 accepts 66 academic hours plus four kinesiology hours for a total of 70 semester hours from community colleges.  All academic courses attempted at a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the will be reviewed for transferability. Transferable courses may not be relevant to every degree plan which is reviewed by an academic advisor.

• Transfer Orientation

  Upon admission to 福利姬, register to attend Transfer Orientation. At Orientation you'll complete mandatory advising for classes and register for your first classes.

• Scholarship Opportunities

  Visit our financial aid website to learn how to complete the FAFSA, learn about scholarships like the Bearkat Transfer Scholarship and to complete the Scholarship4Kats Application. You must be accepted to 福利姬 in order to complete a ScholarX application. Most scholarships available to fall applicants have an application priority deadline of November 1 with recipient selections through February.
